Club History
The Rosanna Golf Club was officially formed in 1937, located just 100 metres from Rosanna railway station. In 1965 the new Rosanna Golf Club was opened, having been re-located to 139 acres of natural beauty at the junction of the Plenty & Yarra Rivers. This beauty is still evident today, with an abundance of fauna & flora through out the course and picturesque views from the clubhouse.
Golf Course
The Rosanna Golf Club is one of the premier golf clubs within the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our 18-hole course is continually improving, outlining our commitment to providing the highest quality playing conditions for our members & their guests.
The Club has a detailed course master plan developed by renowned course architect, Mike Clayton. Many changes have been made to the course since this plan was adopted in 1999 dramatically improving the course layout.
During the summer of 2013/14 the fairways were line planted with Santa ana couch grass and as a result the members now enjoy couch grass fairways all year round. The course features a balanced mix of holes, with doglegs in both directions ensuring that golfers of all capabilities are catered for.
The course is currently a 6123m Par 71 for men and a 5240 Par 73 for Ladies.
Golf Competitions
The club conducts golf competitions for men on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; for ladies on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and for men and ladies on Public Holidays. Social golf is predominantly available on Mondays, Wednesday afternoons and Friday afternoons.
Members Clubhouse
The clubhouse is open every day of the week and features two well stocked bars. These bars are available for members to utilise before and after golf, with floor to ceiling windows providing stunning views of the course.
The dining room is used during the week for Wednesday lunches for the Ladies, and Thursday night dining. The room is also available for function use by both members and non-members.
A catering service is provided for members, mainly for light meals and snacks from 11.30am – 2.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Golf Shop
The Golf Shop team provide golf tuition by appointment, a wide range of golfing equipment and merchandise from all the leading brands at competitive prices, club storage, club fitting and repair services, as well as friendly advice to ensure you get the best results and enjoyment from the game.
The expertise and knowledge that the team provide greatly enhance the Club’s golf program.
Dress Regulations
Members and their Guests are expected to be neat and tidy at all times on the Course and in the Clubhouse. Full dress requirements are detailed in the Handbook.
Practice Facilities
To fine tune your game the Club has a number of practice facilities which include a practice fairway (members can obtain a bucket of complimentary practice balls from the Golf Shop), practice bunker, two practice chipping greens, two practice greens and driving nets.
