Community Involvement

The Rosanna Golf Club is proud to be involved with a number of community and charity organisations.

FreezeMND

The Club was proud to support the Fight for MND last year, with members Gerry & Di Sheean selling 80 beanies in just over an hour with all funds raised ($1630) going towards medical research and care for MND patients!

Special thanks to the members & staff for supporting the Big Freeze campaign and FightMND. For more information about this special cause please click here.

Jimmy’s Golf Day

Jimmy’s Golf Day is a charity golf day which raises money to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mercy Hospital for Women.

Founded by Rosanna Golf Club member Phil McGough in 2012 as a way of giving back to Mercy Health following the excellent care and attention his son Jimmy received when born at 23 weeks, the event has grown organically thanks to the passion, care and interest of major sponsors, the Rosanna Golf Club, its members and the broader Rosanna community.

To date, the event has raised more than $200,000 to cover accommodation costs and other expenses which families with babies in the NICU may face.  The funds raised also provided an additional 30 milk warmers in the NICU, allowing expressed breastmilk to be safely and hygienically warmed at the baby’s cotside. Jimmy’s has also contributed towards a children’s playground at the Mercy Hospital, providing a positive and welcoming experience for families and siblings in the NICU. That is a staggering achievement by any measure, and it has made a direct and welcome difference to those families at a highly stressful time in their lives.

Ladies Charity Day – Kalparrin

The Rosanna ladies have been supporting Kalparrin, Early Childhood Intervention Service, for over 30 incredible years. This year, the ladies raised an extraordinary amount of $10,405 at their annual Charity Day.

Featuring silent auctions, raffles, a fresh produce stall and the incredible support of our lady members, the day represents the culmination of months of work for the Rosanna Golf Club Ladies Committee.

Kalparrin supports local families in Melbourne’s north east suburbs, with children with disabilities and developmental delays. Kalparrin’s aim is to provide children and families with the skills, knowledge and support needed to optimise the developmental opportunities and potential of each child. Corporate Cup – Junior Golf Development

The Rosanna Golf Club Corporate Cup is now in its 13th year. This premier event on the Club’s calendar is a very important day. Not only does it showcase our wonderful course and Club, it also raises money for our junior development program.

In regards to junior development, the Club has a great junior program in place and the funds raised from this event make it possible to offer a program to our younger members that includes extensive golf training, junior camps and entry fees to external events.

Eltham Rural Group

Club staff and a number of the Rosanna Golf Club members are heavily involved in the running of the annual Eltham Rural Group Golf Charity Day.

All proceeds raised at this event are donated to local community services and organisations that assist people in need in the immediate area. Last year, the Eltham Rural Group raised over $32,000 in all their fundraising events throughout the year, including their annual golf day. This money has been distributed to 22 local community organisations and charities helping people in need in the Nillumbik area.
